MaNaBu Movement becomes member of NEXUS Global
This past June, I had the unique opportunity to represent MANABU at the NEXUS Global Summit in New York City. The event began at the United Nations Headquarters where we received a briefing on several current UN Initiatives. Over the next three days, attendees attended sessions on a wide range of topics from Youth Mental Health, Unleashing the Power of Art, Music & Film to Drive Social Change.
I was excited that MANABU was being invited into the NEXUS Community, but it was only after attending that I realized what that really meant. NEXUS members (literally) take an oath to help one another and support their causes. That spirit I truly felt and it was infectious. Since then, I have attended events in Los Angeles and planning a dinner in Chicago with fellow members. It is a wonderful feeling being among people who believe “we are all in this together”.
